Professor Jaimie Bleck, Associate Professor of political science and BIG Lab affiliate, won a Democracy Catalyst Grant through the university's Democracy Initiative. The grant will support a convening at Notre Dame London where 15 African scholars will discuss their book chapters for a volume entitled African Governance Innovation. They will look at history, non-state institutions, and traditions, as well as social movements and policy-making infrastructure to understand contemporary democratic governance across Africa.
